Hunter Glass (Trainer)
Hello, I'm Hunter Glass, and my journey into the fascinating world of dog training started at a young age. Under the guidance of an experienced dog trainer, I began to develop a deep passion for understanding and working with our furry friends.
As I grew, so did my love for dogs, leading me to embark on a life-changing journey. I trained my very first service dog alongside the same skilled trainer who had initially ignited my passion for this remarkable field. It was during my teenage years that I truly honed my skills, dedicating myself to the art of canine training.
My apprenticeship took me through a diverse range of experiences with several trainers, ultimately guiding me towards my two primary areas of expertise: working with reactive dogs and nurturing the incredible bond between service dogs and their human companions.
In 2023, I joined the esteemed Canine N’ Company as part of Brian's highly-regarded internship program. This experience was pivotal in shaping my career as a professional dog trainer.
One of my proudest accomplishments is obtaining certifications in dog emotion and cognition through Duke University, further deepening my understanding of the complex world of canine psychology. Additionally, my commitment to animal welfare led me to receive certification from Edinburgh University, ensuring that my work always aligns with the highest ethical standards.
In my cherished canine family, I have two extraordinary companions: Athena and Toph. Athena, a venerable thirteen-year-old, has served me as a dedicated retired service dog. She brings endless joy with her spirited personality and unique blend of Miniature Schnauzer and Doberman heritage.
Athena's playful spirit has brought a smile to countless faces, and her years of faithful service have left an indelible mark. Her warm presence continues to grace our lives, even in her retirement.
Stepping into the role of my current service dog almost three years ago is the remarkable Toph, a vivacious three-year-old Golden Retriever. Toph's enthusiasm for life is infectious, and her boundless energy is not only evident in her work but also in her love for playing ball and embarking on exhilarating hikes in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains.
